Rawang is a city that is located in Selangor, Malaysia. Located in the farthest northern part of the Klang Valley, Rawang is a fast-growing city known for its affordability in housing. The city's history dates back to the early 19th-century when tin-mining dominated the local economy before giving way to rubber and oil palm plantations. The establishment of industrial zones further propelled urbanization in the area in the 20th-century. However, Rawang's growth has not been matched by proper transport infrastructure development.
