Rawang, Selangor

Rawang is a city that is located in Selangor, Malaysia. Located in the farthest northern part of the Klang Valley, Rawang is a fast-growing city known for its affordability in housing. The city's history dates back to the early 19th-century when tin-mining dominated the local economy before giving way to rubber and oil palm plantations. The establishment of industrial zones further propelled urbanization in the area in the 20th-century. However, Rawang's growth has not been matched by proper transport infrastructure development. Commuting within the city can be slow, and the transportation network to Kuala Lumpur or nearby towns can be congested at peak times.
