Section 13, Petaling Jaya

Section 13 (also known as Seksyen 13) is a leasehold town that is located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Section 13 in Selangor is a rapidly developing area, with a rich history as an industrial zone. The Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) came up with a Special Area Plan that was implemented to redevelop the location. As a result, 75% of the land was earmarked for commercial use, prompting a flurry of development activities. Presently, Section 13 is a bustling area consisting mainly of a mix of residential and business facilities which offer suitable solutions for those accustomed to city living. Nevertheless, one concern that comes with the increasing development taking place in the area is the growing nightmare of heavy traffic, which renders it necessary to seek effective solutions to curb the situation. Without such corrections, navigating through a particularly thick blockage of vehicles is bound only to result only in valuable time loses. ultimately rendering Section 13 a less attractive location to live in, meaning, overly slow traffic could eventually decrease demand for investment in current and future property developments.

It was developed by Glomac Bhd. The developer is a huge real estate company listed on KLSE, and it has constructed around 63 real estate projects in Malaysia. Other similar projects by the same developer are Bandar Saujana Utama and Saujana Rawang.

This town has some amenities nearby, for example universities, hospitals, schools and transit stations. The following are some main universities here:

As for hospitals, there are Cellnique Paramedical, Columbia Asia Hospital, Hospital Pusrawi, Ozone Hospital, Regen Rehab Hospital and Tun Hussein Onn National Eye Hospital. There are also some schools here, i.e. Bukit Bintang Boys' Secondary School, Heritage International School, SK Sri Petaling and SMK Sultan Abdul Samad.

Lastly, the transit stations here are LRT Asia Jaya, LRT Taman Jaya and MRT Phileo Damansara.

Everything is good except for the fact that the space at the entrance of the parking is a little too tight for its design. It takes effort for some cars to turn at the corners.

Share facilities with the hotel, need to walk a distance..

Nice place, facilities well kept.

I like this place, very convenient for grocery and food. The mall below is just nice, not very crowded like other malls.
