Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur

Brickfields is a city that is located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Brickfields, once a simple residential area, was transformed into a bustling hub of Indian culture, known as Little India, and has become increasingly popular due to its vibrant street filled with numerous Indian-run shops and restaurants. From signature goods such as saris, flower garlands, and spices to mouth-watering local delicacies like thosai and vadai, Brickfields has something for everyone. Though traditional Indian stores still dominate the area, other business establishments, including international franchise restaurants, have also made their way into the neighbourhood. Additionally, since the area lies in the vicinity of other major city centres, like KL Sentral, it draws in people from all walks of life, including locals and tourists alike, who come to appreciate its mix of culture, great food, and the opportunity to indulge in a little local street shopping.

Some of the notable landmarks in this city include Mercu UEM, Platinum Sentral, Menara CIMB, Menara SSM and Menara Allianz Sentral. Besides, there are also some shopping malls here, such as Sooka Sentral and Nu Sentral.

There are also some schools here, e.g. Buddhist Institute Sunday Dhamma School, Confucian Private Secondary School, Global Indian International School (GIIS) Kuala Lumpur, Havil International School, Krista School, Tsun Jin High School and Vivekananda Secondary School.

Lastly, the hospitals here are Arinaga Medical Centre, Asian Hospital & Medical Centre, Bangsar Medical Centre, Boren Medical Hub, Hospital Tanglin and Kajungan Hospital.
