Southbay (also known as Southbay City) is a freehold town that is located in Batu Maung, Bayan Lepas. Southbay seems to be a refreshing addition to the southern Penang Island region which has been cluttered with developments predominantly catering to the working community of MNCs in Bayan Lepas. It stands out as a luxurious development that offers more than just a place to call home. The tranquility and safety offered by the neighbourhood meet the basic criteria of a residential area, while the luxury and exclusivity add value to the place. However, the location of the development may pose challenges during rush hours as it is situated close to the busy Bayan Lepas Free Industrial Zone, which can lead to unavoidable traffic congestion.
