Kayu Ara (also known as Kampung Kayu Ara) is a leasehold town that is located in Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya. It is situated in a village area that has undergone some notable changes in the recent past due to the influx of development projects from the neighbouring localities. The area, which is predominantly residential, has experienced some transformation over the years. Although, the village still encompasses its original rural features, which makes it an excellent place for relaxation. It also houses a few industrial and commercial infrastructures located at the southeast intrinsically near Sungai Kayu Ara to provide employment to the residents, and amenities to cater for their needs.
